This is a site about invisibility -about that which resists visibility, and that, which is refused visibility by mainstream culture. The evolving mission of this site is to provide artists, scholars, activists, and educators, access to a range of resources including: textual, visual, video, digital- about art, autonomy, radical politics, and the social production of creative dark matter.
Never before has the overlooked value of social production received so much attention from business entrepreneurs, marketing experts, website developers, management theorists, policy makers, but also artists, critics, and intellectuals. The mainstream markets are rapidly enclosing some of this missing mass. However, much dark matter refuses to be transformed into what some pundits call the "new engine of the networked economy." This resource site is dedicated to those social producers who refuse to be made visible except on their own terms.
